Personal Year
Your Personal 9 Year.
If everything is falling apart this year, you are not cursed. You are in a 9. This is the closing year. A Personal 9 Year is endings and release: finish what is done, let go of what is over, and clear the deck before your next 1 cycle begins.
What a Personal 9 Year means
The cycle ends at the 9. In Gary's system the 9 is the closing number, the number of endings, so a Personal 9 Year is about completion and release rather than new beginnings. Things that have run their course tend to fall away on their own.
It is the cleanup year. You finish projects, close chapters, forgive, and let go of what is no longer working. It can feel heavy, even like loss, but that is the point. You are emptying your hands so the next 1 year can put something new in them.
The move this year: finish and release. Close it out, end what is over, clear the clutter. A 9 year is the worst time to start something brand new and the best time to make room for it.
Where it sits in the cycle
The 9 is the end of the road and the doorway back to the start. It follows the harvest of the 8 and hands straight off to a brand new 1. This is also why 2025 felt like an ending on a global scale: it was a universal 9 year for everyone, right before 2026 flipped the whole world back to a 1.

Personal 9 Year: common questions
What is a Personal 9 Year?
A Personal 9 Year is the final year of your nine-year cycle. In Gary's GG33 system the 9 is the closing number, the number of endings, so it is a year of completion and release: wrapping things up and clearing the deck before your next 1 year resets the whole cycle.
What should I do in a Personal 9 Year?
Finish and let go. Close out projects, end what is no longer working, forgive, and declutter your life. It is the wrong year to launch something brand new. Use it to clear space so your next 1 year can start clean.
Why does a Personal 9 Year feel like everything is ending?
Because it is supposed to. The 9 closes the cycle. Relationships, jobs, and chapters that have run their course tend to fall away in a 9 year. It can feel like loss, but it is really the deck being cleared for the fresh start that follows.
